Kat
I believe Kat was the first model I reached out to on Model Mayhem on my own (rather than waiting for them to contact me). She did a lot of unusual work, and I hoped she could help me stretch my own boundaries.
We worked together for a day and the day before she asked if she could bring her friend along. Although I generally prefer not to have others around when I shoot, I could hear this was important to her, so I agree. Her friend, Sintija, though not a model, joined in for a few photos and, in many ways, actually enhanced the shoot, so I’m glad I accepted.
Meanwhile, I loved shooting with Kat. She was one of the first models I worked with who enjoyed pictures that did not necessarily make her look like a traditional model.
I really love the infrared picture I took of her that showed off all the veins under her skin.
