Amialya

Amialya is my sister’s daughter, colloquially known as my niece. She came in the world as I was starting my photography hobby and taking photography classes, so she was always a fun subject and an adorable child.

She came to visit me in Denmark twice. The first time when she was 14 (although close enough to claim she was 15), then again when she was 18, this time with my mother. For her first trip, she came for one month and spent one week with my wife and I, then three weeks with Jens and Lise (Christine’s parents) on Bornholm.

I imagine the first trip was probably more exciting, with three weeks of freedom from family on Bornholm, compared to the second trip which she spent largely with her uncle and grandmother.
