Morocco - people
I visited Morocco the first time with Lee Frost’s Photo Adventures, after I had been to Cuba with Lee.
Like Cuba, Morocco is stunning and there are wonderful opportunities for taking pictures of people.
Unlike Cuba, however, the people in Morocco are not universally interested in having their picture taken. Quite the opposite! I can be dangerous to shoot without permission. I was very glad to be there with Lee, who was very experienced and knew when and how to take pictures with locals without putting one’s self at risk. Most often, people wanted payment for pictures and Lee managed that.
I did, however, sneak quite a few pictures from the windows of our minibus!
The Morocco place page shows the varied landscape, architectural beauty, and charming animals I also experienced.
When I visited Morocco with Nicola in 2018, I was careful about taking pictures of strangers, but a group of small boys crowded around Nicola and me when we were shooting in the blue city. I found that pointing the camera at them scared them away!
This gallery collects my pictures of the people. To read about my experience and see the titles I’ve given each picture, visit the trip page.
