Self Portraits
I love taking pictures of people.
OK, I mostly love taking pictures of women.
Way back when I started photography, however, I had very little understanding how to convince women to let me take their picture. While struggling over this one day I realized that I can also be the subject of my own visual art, despite not really liking myself as a subject. In any case, I’ve found that taking self portraits helped me learn and pass the time when more attractive subjects were unavailable.
This section includes quite a few Instagram selfies, which I consider a genre of their own. They can be a lot of fun though, so I’m happy to include them.
