Shasta Wonder
My first shoot with Shasta Wonder took place on an early morning in August. There was a building I had noticed in a park that I would go for walks in that I thought would make an interesting backdrop for a model.
She agreed to shoot nude outside before we met and just asked that I brought a thermos of tea and a warm blanket, as it was still chilly in the morning. I picked her up and when we got to the park, I discovered my thermos had leaked all the warm tea over the blanket!
Not a good start to the day.
The very first picture, however, was instantly one of my favorites. I used it as the cover of my second book, Pictures of Women.
When Faith and I were planning a trip to Fuertaventura, Faith wanted to shoot with a dark skinned model and I thought of Shasta. To be honest, I didn’t really expect her to be able to join us, but it turned out that she was in Europe that month, so it worked out.
