I hire private figure models because I want the opportunity to see my skills improve as I draw the same person over a long period of time. Private modeling sessions also provide more collaboration between myself and the model, which I find more rewarding than group sessions.

I have 6 values in mind when working with any model privately.

I do my best to ensure that the model feels safe, comfortable, valued, respected, seen, and heard. It’s only when I feel confident that these are the case that I feel comfortable to relax and focus on doing my best to capture their beauty and humanity.

The fact that many of my models keep coming back for more sessions is the greatest compliment they can give me.

I keep my model’s identity confidential, except in cases where they explicitly ask that I share their name, as many professional models appreciate.
