I discovered LoveLifeDrawing on October 1st, 2024 when I came across this video by Kenzo on YouTube.

At that point, I had already started attending Croquis classes at TegneSkoleKBH and was super frustrated. In the video, Kenzo spoke directly to a lot of my confusion and irritation at the various forms of advice I was hearing, and how to put them all into context. Being skeptical about any claims I hear on the internet, I just watched the video and moved on.

Then I kept thinking about that video in the coming days and started to look for more videos from the same guy.

Eventually, I saw that Kenzo/LoveLifeDrawing provide a free 10-Day course, called the Fresh Eyes Challenge. During a traditional fall break from my classes at TegneSkole, I followed the 10-day instructions and it completely transformed my understanding and ability with respect to drawing the human figure.

After using what I had learned from Fresh Eyes in my classes and seeing wonderful results, I signed up for the paid LoveLifeDrawing Study Group, paying for a year in advance so that I would take it seriously. LoveLifeDrawing provide both classes and, perhaps more importantly, a community of artists with similar interests. I don’t use the community as much as I could, but I really like the concept.

I’ve now taken a number of their courses and look forward to taking even more.

As part of my “work flow”, I take pictures of my sketches in order to analyze them. So this section shows most of the sketches I did in relationship to the courses and my practice.

I apologize for the quality of the images. I don’t really expect many people to look in any detail!
