Hazel from Canada

Hazel contacted me to do a photoshoot because my guest room had been fully booked when she planned her visit.  

That was lucky for me, because she's an amazing woman and we had a great time talking and taking pictures.  She played my piano and guitar for me both while I took pictures and just to give me a small performance.

She sang Leaving on a Jet Plane, which my father also sang on his guitar when I was a kid. I liked her version better!

Hazel is a rock climber, geologist, and worked on an oil platform. She mentioned that her demographic was not strongly represented. She loved NOT meeting people’s expectations and surprising all the men she worked with.

As it turned out, I had a cancellation and she was was able to stay overnight after all and we took pictures the second day as well as the first afternoon. You can see how her personality blossomed from the first day to the second by comparing the pictures in front of the brick wall.

As a bonus, I got an update from her years after we met. She shared a YouTube video of her playing guitar and singing, which I highly recommend.
