Started out by choosing a height for our sketch, then figuring out the width based on our chosen height.
Drew two 3D cubes, the top one representing the pepper.
Added shading to the cubes that corresponded to the light source.
Slowly added details to the pepper using simple shapes, like spheres, cylinders, etc.
I really struggled with how to represent the details as instructed, and as my comparison with a photo of the pepper shows, I made the cube bigger (or pepper smaller) than I had intended.
Sigh.
At least I can see that I’m learning!
It was fun to see everyone’s sketches at the end of the class.
