I visited Bali twice without ever planning to go there.

The first time, in 2019, I was on a business trip alone for two weeks in Malaysia. My plan to just relax over the weekend was highjacked when Anna/Poppy informed me that she had purchased a flight and booked a hotel for me in Bali, as well as provided an itinerary of places to visit. An offer I could not refuse.

The second time, in 2020, was during a carefully planned 4 week trip to China. Just as no plan survives contact with the enemy, neither does any plan survive contact with Anna/Poppy, who ended up joining me in China and halfway through, we aborted my plans in China and went to Bali instead.
