My 2012 Trip to Maldives

After my trip to Greece in 2011, where I spent a lot of time moving between islands and between locations on individual islands, I liked the idea of trying a vacation on an island that was less than 1km in circumference.

I still had lots of opportunities to take pictures. Plus I experimented with underwater photography using a small point-and-shoot underwater camera.

After arriving in Malé, the capitol city of the Maldives, I had to take a small sea plane to get to my resort. I used that as a photo opportunity as well, of course.

On the day of my departure, I also took the opportunity to take a ferry to the capitol city of Malé, although today there is a bridge from the airport to the capitol, so I imagine the visit is even easier now.
